PCA- Tampa Bay is currently working with The Lightning High School Hockey League to help further the implementation of hockey’s Declaration of Principles, launched by the National Hockey League (NHL) and 16 other hockey organizations from around the world in September of 2017.

Recently, PCA's Jason Sacks (Executive Vice President, Business Development & Philanthropy) joined Paul Porter from "The Home Team" at AM860/Salem Media to talk about this partnership. You can listen to that interview below.

This past summer at Amalie Arena, the Lightning High School Hockey League hosted its Medical Day for incoming athletes and families and the League’s Jamboree kicked off the season on September 8. At each of these events, PCA workshops were presented.

The PCA chapter in Tampa has many great partners (The Lightning as a founding partner) and the chapter was chosen to lead the charge with this pilot campaign. The “Check Yourself” campaign was developed in collaboration with a number of local and national organizations including the NHL, Positive Coaching Alliance, University of South Florida’s Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program, RISE and PRESS PR + Marketing. Over the seven-month season, the partners will implement a variety of tactics to begin to positively change the mindset and negative behavior in high school hockey.

PCA is proud to partner with the National Hockey League, National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball and over 35 professional teams across the United States.
