2019 PCA-Tampa Bay Inside the Lines A Huge Success

12.16.2019

Thanks to the incredible generosity of so many in our community, Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) – Tampa Bay’s 3rd annual Inside the Lines benefit on November 13 at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC was a huge success due to the support of our partners, sponsors, donors, and Board members!

Over 200 guests enjoyed a special evening of cocktails, dinner, and entertainment while learning about PCA- Tampa Bay and how we are positively transforming youth and high school sports in our community by providing all student-athletes with a positive, character-building experience that results in Better Athletes, Better People.

The event raised funds to support the work PCA does with parents, coaches, and student-athletes, ensuring that kids throughout the greater Tampa Bay community stay playing sports and learning the important leadership and character skills necessary to succeed in life.

Stacie Schaible, broadcaster with News Channel 8, was the moderator for the evening and led a panel discussion between Tampa Bay sports personalities Kevin Cash, Manager of the Tampa Bay Rays, and Dave Andreychuk, Tampa Bay Lightning Stanley Cup Champion and NHL Hall of Famer. Also joining the panel were softball coach Robin Kopp, Alonso High School, and Madison Hill, student-athlete scholarship finalist at Trinity Catholic High School. The panelists reflected on the impact that participating and competing in sports had on their youth, not only during their growing years, but also into their careers.

The evening continued with unique one-of-a-kind sports experiences auctioned off and a generous match challenge made by Triad Foundation during the “Bid from the Heart” appeal. Many generous contributors stepped up and the Triad Foundation’s match was achieved!

Inside the Lines is vital to supporting the mission of PCA –Tampa Bay and it ensures that student-athletes and the community ultimately benefit from the character-building educational workshops that PCA provides. Thank you for investing in PCA –Tampa Bay and helping to develop the next generation of future leaders.

Finally, special thanks to Board members Chip Reeves of Beach Community Bank, and Bryce Kenny of Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management for stepping up to be the Title Sponsors at this year’s event.

Check out this year’s video that shows how a coach can have a positive and long-lasting effect on a child.  Coaches that teach kids to learn from and bounce back from mistakes and to always give maximum effort see kids grow-up and use these same tools to become successful adults.
