Kristen Oshiro is a former Division 1 soccer player from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Born and raised in San Diego, Kristen grew up playing soccer in the nation’s most competitive youth leagues before graduating from Mira Mesa High School as a top scholar-athlete with 12 varsity letters in soccer, cross country and track. She walked on to the University of Hawaii Women’s Soccer program in the fall of 2005 and after spending a year as a reserve, Kristen’s determination and work ethic earned her a starting position as an outside midfielder. Named all-WAC academic team between 2006-2008, Kristen was part of the most successful era in the history of UH Women’s Soccer with two WAC regular-season titles, the first-ever WAC conference tournament title and the first and only appearance in the coveted NCAA tournament.
